An explosion sparked a fire Christmas morning in Capitola Village in Santa Cruz County. The fire broke out at about 5 a.m. behind El Toro Bravo on Monterey Avenue. No one was hurt. The fire knocked out power for about 54 customers, but PG&E was able to restore power quickly. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
