Scientists find skull of enormous ancient dolphin in Amazon

The Amazon river dolphins, also known as pink river dolphins or botos, are the largest species of river dolphins. Males can weigh over 450 pounds.
These dolphins have exceptional underwater and overhead eyesight and are highly adaptable. They were classified as 'endangered' in 2018 by the IUCN Red List.
Researchers discovered the remains of the world's largest dolphin, Pebanista yacuruna, in the Amazon region of Peru. The fossil was found in the Napo River embankment in 2018.
