Queens of the Stone Age Announce New Album Perfecth, Unveil "Insignificant Other"
The band’s ninth album includes a limited deluxe edition and follows the new single "Insignificant Other," which arrives ahead of the October 30 release.
- Queens of the Stone Age officially announced their ninth album, Perfecth, arriving October 30 via Matador Records, alongside releasing the new single Insignificant Other.
- Regarding the album title, frontman Josh Homme explained, "Nothing in this world is perfect," crafting Perfecth to stitch together emotions revolving around love, lust, and foolishness.
- Produced by Homme and bandmate Michael Shuman, Insignificant Other features a smoky flow and gentle-but-funky riff; interestingly, the track is the second of only two takes.
- The band kicks off the second leg of their North American tour supporting Foo Fighters on September 15 in Regina, Saskatchewan, with additional fall stops in Louisville and Las Vegas.
- Last week, the band teased Perfecth in a promo video starring Josh Homme and guitarist-keyboardist Deam Fertita; they also unveiled a comedic Big Chongus clip featuring band members and their pets.
