The owner of the nascent Greensboro Gargoyles minor league hockey team is bringing another professional sports team to the area. Zawyer Sports & Entertainment announced today the establishment of a new professional women’s basketball team in Greensboro that will compete in the UPSHOT league, a newly formed developmental league set to begin playing in May 2026.
