In the EU and NATO country of Bulgaria, the new head of state will not be elected until a final election. On Sunday (1 November) the current President Ilijana Jotova and her challenger from the pro-Western liberal-conservative opposition camp, Andrej Gjurov, will take place. This is evident from the official results published by the Central Electoral Commission (ZIK) after counting 99.95 percent of the electoral protocols on Sunday.
