Possible One-Way Traffic for Ships on Part of the IJssel

Rijkswaterstaat may implement one-way traffic for shipping on the Upper IJssel in the coming days due to very low water levels. The Upper IJssel is the southern part of the IJssel in Gelderland. Despite the heavy rainfall of the past few weeks, water levels are still too low. Due to the drought of last summer, too little water is flowing into the Netherlands from the Rhine. Groundwater levels also remain low.
