During an operation in the Švenčionys district, VSAT officers detained a large cargo of cigarettes, a Vilnius resident and a Švenčionys resident, and a cargo minibus belonging to one of them. The fact that one of them tried to escape and the other resisted did not help the smugglers. A pre-trial investigation has been launched, and both suspects have been detained for one month.
The suspect was handed over to the detention supervisor with a criminal complaint.
