The winner of the last Tour de France underwent surgery for a broken collarbone he suffered in the eighth stage of the Vuelta. The operation went without complications, after it was initially postponed due to a concussion.
The Slovenian champion will definitely not compete at the World Championships, which will be held in Montreal on September 27th, and more is unknown.
