People Recount Altercation with Dallas Cowboys Legend Dez Bryant in Southlake
Former Dallas Cowboys star Dez Bryant reported being held at gunpoint by police in front of his daughters on Sunday following a confrontation with two men he accused of reckless driving in Southlake, Texas.
The situation escalated outside a restaurant after Bryant confronted the drivers; one man allegedly threatened to shoot him but instead pulled out a phone, which Bryant admits he knocked from his hand.
Police placed all three men face down on the ground in handcuffs, and video footage shows one officer pointing an assault rifle toward the group as Bryant's daughters watched the scene unfold.
Bryant received a citation for 'Assault by Contact' and must appear at Southlake Municipal Court on or before Nov. 20, though he criticized the police response as 'very one-sided.'
Despite the encounter, Bryant stated he maintains a positive relationship with local police, emphasizing, "I was really more so concerned about my children, you know, looking at their dad, you know, being on the ground with a gun pointed at me.
