Trader Joes Food Recall Expands After Glass Found in Frozen Products

- Federal regulators added more than 400,000 cases of Trader Joe's Vegetable Fried Rice on March 20, while recalled items span brands including Ling Ling, Tai Pei, Ajinomoto and Kroger Chinese Inspirations.
- Joseph Wendelken, spokesman for the Rhode Island Department of Health, urged consumers to discard affected products immediately. State health departments posted recall notices on social media and online.
- The FDA notice indicated recalled food could contain glass pieces 1 to 3 centimeters long. Officials warned frozen-food recalls pose particular risk because consumers may forget purchases kept in freezers 'a while ago'.
