- Gisin won gold in Alpine combined at the 2018 Winter Olympics and successfully defended her title four years later in Beijing, accumulating 21 podium results.
- Returning to St. Moritz in September, Gisin felt an "immense sense of gratitude" for her health and the "wonderful moments" throughout her career, she said.
- Gisin ends her career as one of Switzerland's most storied Winter Olympians, following her sister, Dominique Gisin, who won Olympic downhill gold for the Swiss.
