New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill signed the Fair Price Protection Act on July 23, prohibiting businesses from using consumer data to price groceries and related consumer goods differently. The new law also suspends the addition of new electronic shelf price tags for one year, allowing the state government to study their impact.
