Nestlé Reaches Agreement to Divest Its Mainstream Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements Business

- On Tuesday, Nestle agreed to divest its mainstream vitamins, minerals, and supplements business to private equity firm Yellow Wood Partners for $1 billion, including seven brands and U.S. private-label operations.
- Nestle CEO Philipp Navratil said the company is "focusing our resources where we have the strongest competitive advantage," noting the mainstream business requires a different approach under dedicated ownership.
- The divested Holistic Health portfolio includes Nature's Bounty, Osteo Bi-Flex, Ester-C, Gard, Nuun, Puritan's Pride, and Sisu; the business generated $1.2 billion in 2025 sales.
- Yellow Wood Partners, a Boston-based firm, has completed six acquisitions since 2019, including Unilever's Elida Beauty division and ChapStick from Haleon in recent years.
- Expected to close by the first half of 2027 pending regulatory approvals, the divestment allows Nestle to shift focus toward premium, science-led VMS brands like Solgar.
