Summary by googlenestcommunity.com
Is it possible to deactivate the smoke alarm and leave the heat sensor on?As far as i'm aware, smoke sensors shouldn't be used in kitchens, only heat sensors should be but naturally if installing Nest Protect throughout the rest of the house, i want the same product/brand in the kitchen too.Can anybody advise before i sink a lot of money into buying 8 sensors?
