Officers from Police Station No. 2 responded yesterday to a house on Isthilart Street, where a construction worker found a suspected explosive device while carrying out renovations. According to reports, the worker was removing part of the ceiling when a heavy object wrapped in a sock fell. Upon inspection, he noticed it resembled a grenade and immediately notified the police.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police admits that it accidentally caused a house fire in a face-to-face last year.
