Marshall fifth-year quarterback Carlos Del Rio-Wilson was named to the 90th Maxwell Award Watch List, the Maxwell Football Club announced on Monday. Del Rio-Wilson is the only Sun Belt Conference player and one of only 81 players nationally to be named to the watch list for the Maxwell Award, which is presented annually to the College Football Player of the Year – one of the nation's highest honors.

The Maxwell Football Club today announced its watch list for the 90th Maxwell Award presented annually to the outstanding player in college football. The Maxwell Award has been presented to the College Player of the Year since 1937 and is named in honor of Robert "Tiny" Maxwell who was a former standout at Swarthmore College and a renowned sportswriter and football official. Air Force junior quarterback Liam Szarka was named to the list.
