NAVER D2SF Invests in Sorcerics, an Ambient AI Startup Developing Autonomous AI Home Solutions

On Dec. 29, 2025 in Seongnam, South Korea NAVER D2SF announced a new investment in Sorcerics, Ambient AI startup, as NAVER's corporate venturing arm.
While conventional smart-home systems respond only to explicit commands, Sorcerics pursues a fully autonomous Ambient AI that adapts proactively, shifting homes from reactive commands to context-aware actions like adjusting lighting for sleep readiness.
Using a single camera and proprietary on-device LLMs, Sorcerics analyzes gestures and environment while running five AI models for privacy and performance, with hardware costing approximately one-quarter of rivals.
The company is conducting beta tests in North America and is targeting a Kickstarter launch to establish a strong market position quickly and build durable entry barriers.
Yang Sang-hwan, Head of NAVER D2SF, said, 'With more than 80% of NAVER D2SF's portfolio companies actively expanding into global markets,' supporting startups' growth globally.
