Nairobi County has mapped 227 flood hotspots as the city steps up preparations for the El Niño rains expected from October to December. The county has classified 16 of the 227 hotspots as very high priority, 189 as high priority and 22 as medium priority. Governor Johnson Sakaja today led a multi-agency response aimed at preventing a repeat of the devastating floods witnessed during previous rainy seasons.
