Distraction plays a role in one in three traffic accidents, and it is not only smartphones that pose a risk; the touchscreens in modern cars also distract drivers. The German insurer is calling for the return of physical buttons to cars.
The Allianz insurer has just presented the results of a large study that reveals that driving distraction would occur in a three-way accident, either as a direct trigger or as a contributing cause.
