More US schools are taking breaks for meditation. Teachers say it helps students' mental health
Schools across the U.S. are introducing yoga, meditation, and mindfulness exercises to support students' mental health, endorsed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Research shows mindfulness programs benefit especially low-income communities facing high stress and trauma levels.
The mindfulness program is provided by Inner Explorer to Smith Elementary, aided by GreenLight Fund Atlanta, promoting accessibility for communities of color.
