More under-40s in Wirral are non-religious than Christian

36,600 people aged under 40 in Tendring (65%) selected "no religion" followed by about 16,200 under-forties (29%) who selected Christianity. It's in contrast to the previous census in 2011, when 49% of the age group selected Christianity and 43% opted for no religion. About 13.6 million said they were not religious in 2021 while 9.8 million identified as Christian.
