The Ministry of National Economy and Finance has responded harshly to PASOK's proposal for the management of "red" loans, with the government questioning the interpretation given by the main opposition to the so-called "Cyprus model". The Ministry of Finance rejected PASOK's proposal on "red" loans, describing it as dangerous and contrary to European law. It clarified that the Cypriot model does not provide for the mandatory purchase of loans at a predetermined price, noting that Greece already has a corresponding regulatory framework, while non-performing loans have decreased significantly.
