Mick Schumacher Confirms IndyCar Future in New Announcement
Schumacher will partner Marcus Armstrong at Meyer Shank Racing after a rookie IndyCar season with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing.
Meyer Shank Racing announced that Mick Schumacher will join the team for the 2027 IndyCar season, partnering with New Zealander and former Ferrari Driver Academy star Marcus Armstrong.
After two seasons with the World Endurance Championship Hypercar programme, Schumacher entered IndyCar as a 2026 rookie with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing before joining MSR.
Schumacher called the move a "special opportunity," adding he is "excited to be joining such an ambitious team" and looks forward to working with MSR's partners.
Ahead of the final round in Monterey, Schumacher remains in contention to finish the 2026 season as the top rookie driver, trailing Dennis Hauger by 18 points.
The confirmation of his 2027 plans resolves speculation regarding his racing future, allowing him to build on his initial IndyCar experience with MSR for the upcoming season.
