Stephan El Shaarawy has returned to his former club Genoa, the Italian top-flight club announced on Wednesday. The 33-year-old, 29-time Italy international striker spent almost a decade at AS Roma.

Italian Serie A club Genoa CFC announced on the 2nd that they have signed 33-year-old former Italian international striker Stephan El Shaarawy, who left AS Roma this summer. The club reported the news on its official website. The former Italian international striker, who had been a free agent, is returning to Genoa for the first time in 16 years, since 2010.

The Italian team Genoa, sponsored by the Romanian Dan Chucu, acquired Stephan El Shaarawy and Brazilian Robinho Junior.

Stephan El Shaarawy has officially returned to Genoa on a free transfer after his contract with AS Roma expired.
