Man prepares to hand out 14,000 candy bars for Halloween
Geiger says a Reny’s donation will help him hand out more than 14,000 king-sized candy bars and add inflatables, characters and a bubble machine.
On October 31, Peter Geiger will distribute more than 14,000 king-sized candy bars in Lewiston, Maine, supported by a donation from Reny.
For more than 30 years, Geiger has distributed candy from his business, creating a fun experience for families across Auburn and Lewiston.
Last year, he distributed 10,000 candy bars and 8,500 mini-bars from a witch's cauldron; in 2024, Geiger handed out 8,260 king-sized bars.
This year, the display will feature more inflatable and mechanical creatures plus a bubble machine. "I want to make it as much fun as I could possibly do," Geiger said.
Earlier this year, Geiger sold the Farmers Almanac to Almanac LLC, a New York-based company, though he remains committed to the Halloween tradition.
