Malik Nabers Remains Noncommittal About Being Ready for the Giants’ Season Opener – WTOP News
Wide receiver Malik Nabers feels "real good" less than two weeks before the New York Giants' season opener against the Dallas Cowboys on September 13, yet remains noncommittal about playing Week 1.
Recovering from a torn ACL suffered last year, the 23-year-old receiver has progressed to full practices throughout the summer, trending in a positive direction toward returning to the field.
After practice Monday, Nabers said, "There's still some things that you still have to check off the box," noting he listens to doctors while aiming to avoid snap limitations during games.
Odell Beckham secured a spot on the 53-man roster on Sunday, a move Coach John Harbaugh called a "clear-cut decision" for the veteran's return to the Giants.
Harbaugh intends to utilize Beckham in the receiver group this season, with the veteran stating, "It's an opportunity to rewrite some of the last bit of the chapters" following his emotional return.
