Lyntris Inc. Announces Pricing of Its Initial Public Offering
The defense contractor sold fewer shares than planned after pricing below its marketed range, with existing shareholders cutting their stake by more than 7.8 million shares.
On Wednesday, shares of defense contractor Lyntris, based in Falls Church, Virginia, fell 11.4% during its New York debut, giving the company a valuation of $1.78 billion.
Lyntris raised $297.5 million in a downsized initial public offering on Tuesday, pricing 17 million shares at $17.50, below the marketed range of $19 to $22.
Formed by private equity firm Trive Capital in May, Lyntris provides defense connectivity solutions and reported its backlog more than doubled to $923.9 million as of June 30.
Despite a strong IPO market rebound in recent months, investor caution remains evident as the summer listing window draws to a close.
The offering is expected to close on Thursday, August 20, 2026, with the company intending to use net proceeds to repay approximately $60.0 million in outstanding debt.
