Lucid, Bolt team up to deploy 25,000 robotaxis across Europe

  • On Thursday, Lucid Group and European shared mobility platform Bolt announced a strategic partnership to deploy at least 25,000 autonomous vehicles across Europe.
  • Bolt Autonomous Driving Solutions will define vehicle requirements and fleet infrastructure, while Lucid Technologies manages advanced driver assistance systems and digital features.
  • Vehicles will be built on Lucid's Midsize platform and designed for SAE Level 4 automation, utilizing NVIDIA Hyperion architecture for autonomous operation without driver intervention.
  • This marks Lucid's second major autonomous fleet agreement, following a US partnership with Uber to deploy at least 35,000 vehicles, totaling 45,000 commitments across two continents.
  • While Bolt targets 100,000 autonomous vehicles by 2035, the Midsize platform remains under development following an August 4 delay, and neither company provided a deployment date.
