Lost dog found in Port Orange reunited with family after 7 years

Seven years after disappearing, Copper reunited with The Jones family in Alabama this week after being discovered hundreds of miles away in Port Orange.
The Jones family adopted Copper when she was 4 weeks old, but they believe she was stolen alongside a puppy, searching for a week before losing hope.
Jennifer Baker found Copper wandering near Commonwealth Boulevard and took her in. "She was in god-awful condition," Baker said, noting her nails had grown into her feet.
After two weeks of care, Baker took Copper to a veterinarian, where a microchip scan identified the owners. "He called her name, and I watched her ears perk up," Baker said.
Copper is now receiving treatment in Alabama for years of neglect. "It's been pretty extensive and kind of expensive," the family said, "but it's well worth it to have her back.
