Marseille and Lyon to face Leverkusen in Europa League, Rennes take on Juventus
Marseille and Lyon were both drawn against Bayer Leverkusen in the group stage of the Europa League on Friday, while fellow French club Rennes will take on Italian giants Juventus. The draw in Monaco also handed English duo Bournemouth and Sunderland a glamour tie against AC Milan.
The draw for the second most prestigious European Cup of football, made on Friday 28 August, awarded the Bayer Leverkusen as the next opponent of the Olympique de Marseille and Olympique Lyonnais, while the Stade Rennais will move on the lawn of the Juventus Turin.
This Friday, UEFA made the draw of the Europa League league phase. Olympique de Marseille, Rennes and Olympique Lyonnais are set on their C3 course for the 2026-2027 season.
