LG’s funky new projector/lamp/Bluetooth speaker launches ahead of CES 2025
- LG has announced the launch of a 3-in-1 projector/lamp/Bluetooth speaker called the PF600U, inspired by a floor lamp design. The device has a brightness of 300 lumens and can project screens between 30 and 120 inches in size with FHD resolution. The CineBeam S, a compact 4K projector, was also announced. It can do 500 ANSI lumens and supports a wider color gamut than the lamp, as well as Dolby Atmos and Auto Screen Adjustment features. The release schedule and pricing for both devices are yet to be revealed.
- The growing trend of products designed to hide speakers or projectors in typical household items was also mentioned, with Samsung debuting a speaker housed in a picture frame last year. The CineBeam Qube was also mentioned as an alternative to the CineBeam S, with a more old-timey film projector aesthetic. The low brightness of these devices means they are best suited for nighttime viewing or darker parts of the home.
