Journey Prepares for the Last Leg of What Could Be Rockers' Final Tour Together
The final leg begins in September and ends with more than 100 concerts this year, as the band plans an emotional homecoming at Chase Center.
Journey will conclude its farewell tour on Nov. 28 at San Francisco's Chase Center, with co-founder and lead guitarist Neal Schon anticipating an emotional homecoming in the city where the Band started.
The Band has performed more than 100 concerts this year, sometimes hitting three cities in one day, with shows frequently featuring deep cuts from the early '70s and songs from the album Raised on Radio.
Keyboardist Jonathan Cain notes their enduring anthem "Don't Stop Believin'" has surpassed expectations, written with Schon and then-lead singer Steve Perry and featured in Glee, The Sopranos, and Moneyball.
The current Journey lineup includes singer Arnel Pineda, keyboardist Jason Derlatka, drummer Deen Castronovo, and bassist Todd Jensen, with Cain describing the music as "certain music in uncertain times."
Although the Nov. 28 finale looms, the Band remains unsure what that night will include, yet co-founder Schon says "I'm not nearly done with what I want to do.
