Jalen Hurts' future in Philadelphia is now a question mark
Hurts will miss at least one game, and the Eagles face pressure as his guaranteed money drops to $22 million next year.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts will miss at least one game after being diagnosed with a blood clot in his calf.
The 28-year-old quarterback is in the middle of a $255 million, five-year contract that runs through 2028, with guaranteed money dropping to $22 million next year.
Hurts has seen his completion percentage drop to 57.8 this season and his passer rating fall to 84.7, while his rushing output declined to 21.4 yards per game.
Under first-year offensive coordinator Sean Mannion, the offense has been among the league's worst, compounded by losses of center Jason Kelce and right tackle Lane Johnson last week.
With his availability for the remainder of the season in doubt, questions surround his long-term future in Philadelphia, particularly since the Eagles did not restructure his contract after this year.
