The Italian airline ITA Airways resumed its direct connection from Rome to Tripoli, Libya yesterday, after a 10-year interruption due to the civil war in the North African country. ITA Airways becomes the first European airline to return to Libya, operating two scheduled flights per week by Airbus A319 between Rome-Fiumicino Airport and Tripoli-Mitiga Airport.
