The dollar has risen to the highest level in two weeks with the support of energy shock concerns and rising expectations of higher American interest, while the euro and the yen have declined under the pressure of monetary policy shifts and geopolitical tensions.
The dollar maintained its high levels today on Wednesday, with continued demand as a safe haven, in conjunction with higher treasury bond returns and increased expectations of higher interest rates by the Federal Reserve (Central Bank of the United States), despite the fact that recent economic statements were issued below expectations.
The market interest rate on the US ten-year Treasury bond was 4.79 percent on Tuesday, its highest since January 2025.
