The measures are aimed at two of the largest Russian oil companies, Gazprom Neft and Surgutneftegas, the Treasury Department in Washington said. The United States announced sweeping sanctions against Russia's energy sector today, just before President Joe Biden leaves office. The punitive measures target two major oil companies, Gazprom Neft and Surgutneftegas, among others. The sanctions also include the Serbian company Naftna industrija Srbije, which is majority-owned by Gazprom.

ZDA so tik pred odhodom predsednika Joeja Bidna s položaja danes napovedale obsežne sankcije proti ruskemu energetskemu sektorju. Kaznovalni ukrepi so med drugim usmerjeni proti dvema velikima naftnima podjetjema Gazprom Neft in Surgutneftegas.
