Immersive Bowie Concert Experience to Premiere in 2027
- The Berlin Film Festival announced that documentarian Brett Morgen's immersive concert experience, 'Stage,' will world premiere on Feb. 14, 2027, at Berlin's 17,000-capacity Uber Arena.
- Morgen designed the production around restored footage from Bowie's Isolar II World Tour, which he unearthed 10 years ago while working on his documentary, 'Moonage Daydream.'
- The show features previously unseen 35mm film, a sound mix by Academy Award winner Paul Massey, and lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe, who has worked with Adele and Michael Jackson.
- Berlinale Director Tricia Tuttle called the premiere 'especially meaningful,' as tickets go on general sale October 30, with presale beginning tomorrow, October 28.
- Morgen will serve as a headline speaker for the EFM talks program, while collaborators including Rob Hallett, founder of Wonderworld, ensure the experience remains accessible to global fans.
