CANYON COUNTY, ID — Idaho public health officials have reported the state’s first human case of West Nile virus meningitis in 2026. The case was identified in a Canyon County resident over the age of 65, according to a joint news release Monday from the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare and Southwest District Health.
