The High Court of Cassation and Justice admitted, on Thursday, Horaţiu Potra's appeal against the house arrest measure, decided on August 26 by the Bucharest Court of Appeal. The mercenary thus benefits from a milder preventive measure, being placed under judicial control.
Potra is facing trial in the same criminal case as former presidential candidate Călin Georgescu.
