Fr8Tech puts AI agents to work negotiating freight between the U.S. and Mexico

The platform negotiates with dozens of carriers at once and keeps deals within operator-set price limits, Fr8Tech said.

  • On November 6, Freight Technologies launched Zayren, an AI-powered platform automating freight negotiations for the $872.8 billion U.S.-Mexico trade market. The system connects shippers with available trucks while operators maintain supervisory control.
  • Javier Selgas, CEO of Fr8Tech, described logistics teams as relying on fragmented data and manual phone calls to book freight. This inefficient process often left trucks empty as supply and demand failed to align in real time.
  • Operators set price limits, then AI agents negotiate in parallel with dozens of carriers via WhatsApp and email. The system never offers terms outside these operator-defined boundaries, ensuring human judgment remains central to each decision.
  • Zayren integrates within the Fr8Tech software suite alongside Fleet Rocket TMS, Fr8Radar for GPS tracking, and DODA Smart for customs documentation. Zayren Analytics, available in the Enterprise plan, answers shipment history questions.
  • The negotiation agent will run directly within Fleet Rocket TMS shortly. Promotional pricing for the Pro plan runs through December 31, 2026, as Fr8Tech expands AI-powered logistics solutions for North American freight.
