ASU Names Cutter Boley Starting Quarterback

- On Saturday, August 29, Arizona State head coach Kenny Dillingham officially named junior transfer Cutter Boley as the Sun Devils' starting quarterback for their season opener against Morgan State on September 5 at Mountain America Stadium.
- Following the team's scrimmage at Camp Tontozona, Boley earned the starting role by consistently taking first-team reps in practice over sixth-year senior Mikey Keene. The quarterback battle had narrowed to these two competitors.
- During the 2025 season, Boley completed 65.8 percent of his passes for 2,160 yards and 15 touchdowns while playing for Kentucky in the SEC. He also recorded 12 interceptions throughout that campaign.
- Dillingham emphasized that Boley earned the position through his command of the offense and improved ball security. "We think Cutter is the best opportunity for us to go win football games," Dillingham said.
- Building on an 8-5 season where the Sun Devils finished 6-3 in Big 12 Conference play, Boley must now distribute the ball to Arizona State's talented skill position group. The first two months will be crucial for displaying his talent.
