Ford comes off the bench to help Tiger-Cats rally past Roughriders 26-19
Tre Ford replaced Harrison Frost in the second half and accounted for 189 total yards as Hamilton scored 16 unanswered points.
On Saturday, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats secured a 26-19 comeback victory over the Saskatchewan Roughriders, fueled by backup quarterback Canadian Tre Ford's pivotal second-half performance.
Tiger-Cats head coach Scott Milanovich replaced starting quarterback Harrison Frost with Ford to begin the second half, seeking to ignite an offense that struggled against the Roughriders.
Ford connected on 13 of 17 passes for 151 yards with a touchdown and rushed for 38 yards, while placekicker Marc Liegghio booted four field goals to seal the victory.
Roughriders quarterback Trevor Harris tossed his 20th touchdown of the season but suffered his first road loss after throwing a game-ending interception to Reggie Stubblefield.
The Roughriders visit the B.C. Lions on Sunday, Aug. 23, while the Tiger-Cats face the Toronto Argonauts on Saturday, Aug. 22.
