FM Sitharaman Lands in U.S. for Six-Day Visit for G-20 Talks and Meeting with Business Leaders

- On Thursday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman arrived in the United States for a six-day visit, following a three-day trip to Canada where she attended the inaugural India-Canada Economic and Financial Dialogue.
- Sitharaman will lead the Indian delegation at the G20 Finance Ministers meetings in Asheville, North Carolina, scheduled for August 31 and September 1, following the Central Bank Deputies Meeting.
- While in Chicago, Sitharaman will participate in an Investor Roundtable with leading CEOs and visit the Polsky Center at the University of Chicago to exchange perspectives on innovation and entrepreneurship.
- In New York, NASDAQ will host Sitharaman at a bell-ringing ceremony, and she will hold one-to-one meetings with financial sector CEOs to discuss investment opportunities and institutional linkages.
- The G20 meetings provide India an opportunity to advance perspectives on contemporary global economic challenges and strengthen cooperation with international partners on financial stability and growth.
