The identity of the victim of a shooting in Darlington County has been revealed. The shooting occurred around 6pm on Monday near a restaurant along Pearl Street. 18-year-old Ty’Jeon McFarland was transported to a hospital where he later died. No arrests have been made at this time. An investigation is underway and anyone with information should contact Darlington police.

Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of an 18-year-old Florence resident Monday evening. According to Darlington County Coroner J. Todd Hardee, Ty’Jeon Ann’Nando McFarland, 18, was shot on Pearl Street in Darlington at approximately 6:00 p.m. on April 20, 2026.
