Presumptive Positive Bird Flu Case in Dorchester County

The Maryland Department of Agriculture has announced the first presumptive case of bird flu in a commercial broiler farm in Dorchester County. It marks the fourth case of the illness on an Eastern Shore poultry farm this year. State officials have quarantined all affected areas of the facility and birds on the property are being or have been depopulated to prevent the spread of the disease. Not much else is known at this time.
