Ferrari Launches Handling Speciale Upgrade for Purosangue, As If the V-12 SUV Isn't Already a Beast
The upgraded V-12 SUV gets retuned suspension, quicker shifts and new styling, with Ferrari saying body movements are cut 10 percent.
- Ferrari announced the Purosangue Handling Speciale, an upgraded SUV configuration designed to enhance driver engagement through refined suspension, transmission tuning, and styling changes.
- Engineers tweaked the active suspension to reduce body movements by 10 percent, while transmission tuning now delivers quicker, "more decisive" gearchanges in "Race" and "ESC-Off" modes.
- The V-12 engine remains unchanged, routing 715 hp and 528 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels; manual mode shifts feel "more sporting" above 5500 rpm.
- Visual changes include diamond-cut 22-inch front and 23-inch rear wheels, carbon-fiber fender shields, matte black exhaust tips, and a cabin plaque marking the Handling Speciale variant.
- Expected for the 2027 model year, the Handling Speciale will likely exceed the 2026 base price of $428,636, potentially reaching as much as $500,000.
