Potential ‘small stones’ in frozen dessert prompt nationwide recall: FDA
Danone U.S. recalled Salted Caramel Cluster pints due to small stones in cashew clusters posing a choking hazard; best-by dates are before Aug. 8, 2027.
Danone U.S. announced a voluntary recall on Dec. 15, 2025, of So Delicious Dairy Free Salted Caramel Cluster pints over possible small stones, covering pints sold nationwide, the FDA said.
Testing found small stones within cashew inclusions in the Salted Caramel Cluster flavor, with packaging graphics change February 2025 but the UPC unchanged.
Retail tracking shows the dessert was shipped nationwide, including at least seventeen retail locations in San Antonio and stores like Walmart, Whole Foods, and Target.
Consumers are advised not to eat the recalled pints, check freezers, and request refunds via the So Delicious Dairy Free Care Line or web contact form, with Consumer Care available Monday–Friday 9 a.m.–6 p.m. ET.
Danone U.S. said it has identified and corrected the issue, is working with retail partners to remove impacted pints, and expects the Salted Caramel Cluster dessert return to market soon.
