Galderma Signs Agreement to Acquire ZO Skin Health, Strengthening Its Physician-Dispensed Skincare Offering
The deal would add physician-distributed skincare brands to Galderma’s portfolio as it expands in the U.S. market.
On Tuesday, Swiss skincare conglomerate Galderma agreed to acquire ZO Skin Health in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $1.5 billion.
Investment firm Blackstone, which acquired the Irvine, California-based brand in 2020, explored the sale with investment banks Citigroup and Raymond James.
Founded by dermatologist Dr. Zein Obagi, ZO recorded net sales of approximately 330 million USD in the last 12 months as of June 2026.
Galderma plans to integrate the brand into its Dermatological Skincare portfolio, complementing existing Alastin Skincare and Cetaphil products.
The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026 or early 2027, with Galderma planning to increase commercial investment to strengthen future growth.
