Car Stolen in Lynn with Child Inside Safely Recovered in Everett, Police Say
Police tracked the car after Lynn reported it stolen with a child inside, and the child was taken to Mass General Hospital for evaluation.
On Monday, Everett Police officers safely stopped a stolen vehicle on Revere Beach Parkway near Vale Street, rescuing a six-year-old girl who had been inside the car since it was taken from Lynn.
Lynn Police Department officials notified nearby law enforcement around 5 p.m. Monday to search for the stolen vehicle and were preparing to issue an AMBER alert when Everett officers spotted the car.
Following a brief chase, officers arrested 26-year-old Malden resident Marvin Kentrez Pryien, who faces charges including kidnapping and reckless endangerment of a child, police said Tuesday.
Emergency personnel transported the child to Massachusetts General Hospital for medical examination, where she was reunited with her parents later Monday evening, Everett Police confirmed.
The incident remains under investigation as Pryien awaits arraignment on several motor vehicle charges and an outstanding warrant, though officials have not specified a court date.
