The threat was made in a statement in which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Agriculture regretted the entry into force of the European moratorium on Brazilian products of animal origin in view of Brazil's alleged inability to demonstrate compliance with the rules on the use of antimicrobials throughout the production chain.
The suspension, which has been in force since Thursday, prevents the entry of beef, swine and avian meat, as well as honey, eggs and fish.
